What we can assist to change, bring to the table and give back!

Recent studies have revealed alarming statistics: reports of anxiety increased by 50% and depression by 44% by November 2020, rates six times higher than those of 2019. These symptoms were exacerbated during the pandemic, especially among individuals experiencing household job loss, young adults, and women. Adolescent females have experienced heightened feelings of hopelessness and sadness compared to their male peers.  Furthermore, among the homeless population, the prevalence of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) is estimated to be 89.8%, with 53.9% experiencing four or more ACEs. These experiences are significantly associated with depression, suicidality, substance misuse, and victimization.

Here at Your Safe Space, we aim to address these concerning trends head on. By providing tailored support and interventions, we strive to reduce the rates of mental health issues and promote holistic well being. Together, let's work towards creating a safer and healthier future for all.
